I realized I hadn’t contributed to the Weekly Wise for a while and decided to kick the week off with this prompt. (Our week actually starts on Sunday, but I know most people by the modern calendar.) We’ve embarked on a new family project: assembling the bookcases we’ve waited years to get! It’s exciting to finally be able to give our library a better home, and I’m looking forward to rearranging and redecorating the home once they are in place.
My most recent addition to our decor is our new wreath. I made in about five minutes out of a green wire garland and some ribbons I came across in a box. They had probably come off an old gift bag. I like saving things like that and finding ways to reuse them. I set it up for Imbolc and will be leaving it on the door for another month or so. Along with my mentor, we celebrate different festivals/holidays from most people. However, this was the first year I had been able to really make decorations for them!

Wreath-making was one of my favorite things to do as a child, and I’m determined to start enjoying this hobby again. I also plan to share some of my designs here on S.D. as they’re completed. As those who are following the blog know, I have begun showcasing various hobbies, interests, and life activities to inspire others to try new things. I’m looking forward to having fun with these new topics, and yes, there will be pictures!

It’s pretty! So satisfying to be able to use things you already have to create new things.
