Contribution to The Weekly Smile: “Plant Sitting” #weeklysmile
This week has been a little hectic as I try to balance life a little more. I was very pleased to announce the forth-coming short story to my author site, though. Still, it's a little nerve-wracking when you are about to release something you're worked so hard on. This week, my mother and I took... Continue Reading →
Announcement: Short Story Release! “Lady Of Attica”
Here it is!

Several months ago, I briefly alluded to projects I was working on that I hoped to release sometime this year. Those who have been following me on facebook know I predicted some important news would be coming to T.W.N. very soon.
I’m happy to announce that one of the secret projects is ready to greet its readers! The short story – entitled “Lady Of Attica” – will be available to read for free here on the website under its own page on the main menu. Its summary will be released next Tuesday, June 7th, with a new installment appearing each week.
Enjoy! This one is special in many ways.

Lit. Update: Agent Research and upcoming release
News on T.W.N.
Soon, I will begin my new research into literary agents, the submission process, and taking an in-depth look at a particular agency I will probably be submitting my first novel to.
A literary surprise will be released here on T.W.N. this month (fingers crossed). Further updates are forthcoming.

Return to posting, Upcoming Lit. News!
After a period of absence from most social media, I am officially returning to updating T.W.N. and Superlative Deviation! I’m busily trying to complete a project for release here on the website but hope to share an update in a week or so.
In keeping with the season, I will be posting a few items to S.D. that revolve around the Angelic New Year, which I and others who study with my personal mentor observe. It might not bee as in-depth as I’d like it to be, since my main focus is elsewhere; but I am celebrating and wanted to share a taste of the positive vibes.
Stay tuned for the literary update and more news later this month!

Poetry: “Choosing Sides”
One of the poems chosen for the book.

I awoke one day to find
a cryptic lie had seized my mind.
I awoke one day to see
illusions claiming I was free.
I awoke one day to feel
the seven deadly, putrid seals.
I awoke one day to think
how near my soul came to the brink.
I awoke one day to do
what pride had begged me never to.
I awoke one day to dare
reject the darkened powers of air.
I awoke one day to know
the true … “above is so below”.
I awoke one day to stand
among the few meek of the land.

Lit. Update: Future Steps
New literary update.
It feels good to finally have my poetry book released in some form. However, the work doesn’t stop there. Now I face the challenges of promoting it.
As I already knew, “self-publishing” requires you to fund most of the work yourself. It gets disheartening and a bit stressful, but it’s what I have to do for now. At least I’ve accomplished one of my major life goals and can continue to build on it. It’s wonderful to be able to look back on the progress I’ve made, not just in writing but in life.
Now comes the constant effort needed to balance these new parts of my daily life. Plus, I’m renewing my efforts to get a part-time job to support my financial needs. For those readers who are also hoping to publish their work in some form, I highly advise that you get and maintain a day job. Don’t…

“The Challenging Reality: Wool and Ethics”
One of the topics I've been learning about recently has been the use of wool in the fabric industry. Generally, we as vegans tend to be very much against this practice and advocate for plant-based textiles made from hemp, organic cotton, recycled fibers, etc. as replacements for animal-derived fibers. However, I've discovered there are... Continue Reading →

Happy New Year to everyone joining my on this journey!
