What a thing to ponder! What am I talking about? Our last exercise. In that, many thought deeply about where they would be had they not found spirituality. I gave a few ways to question it, to provoke deeper thinking. Today, we start our week on the dreaded Monday! Admittedly, Mondays are not a lot of peoples favorite day of the week. It is a day in which the hustle and bustle of the week begins and everyone is trying to jump back into the physical energy that they need, from relaxing over the weekend. As an angelic soul, one week is but one day for me being here. I never do really know what day I’m on unless I actually seek it out or have someone remind me. And even still if somebody tells me it’s a Monday, it’s still feels just like the Monday that past, and without…

Brand-new poetry is up at T.W.N. !

I arrived at a performance filled with laughter and joy
A light-hearted comedy to shake off the dust of depression
So many care-free moments filled with wide-eyed innocence.
But then I briefly recalled my heart’s passion
That key to illusions past, present, and future
And it raised the second curtain on the theater before me.
The laughter was in mockery, they reveled in darkness and sin
The comedy was a tragedy of broken hearts and lonely souls
No standard to be held to, no truth to prevent starvation.
And so I shook the dust of deception from my being
In favor of wide-eyed wisdom.

Today, I thank to Heavens for:
Recently, we were gifted a bouquet of flowers from a neighbor. We returned the favor to brighten her day, as well, and chatted with her about feeling a little stir crazy. We’re considering inviting her to go on a walk with us soon. Just because your told to work from home doesn’t mean you have to stay in the house. Just because you might be housebound, doesn’t mean you can’t open all the windows and go out on your balcony, in your yard, or in your garden.
We don’t believe in staying doors – never did. As long as the atmosphere feels ok, we try to take as many walks as possible. We also increase and change up our exercise routines to avoid boredom and build more muscle. A friend of mine recently purchased a jump rope, and it brought back a whole lot of childhood memories. I plan to get one, too, and when we can meet in person, we plan to jam out to Stevie Nicks songs while having a jumping good time! In the meantime, we share videos and pictures and take each other on shopping trips, walks, and tours of our home and closets. It’s a lot of fun!
I’ve always been an introvert, but I’m making an effort to reach out as much as possible and expand my horizons. It’s like another form of exercise to me. Time to build a real community, instead of a virtual one.
Due to a shake up in both my personal and professional life, I have not been putting out any online content for a while. I have not been active on my social media platforms and have taken a break from interacting as much so that I could focus on other things. While I will not be going into details here, there are some big changes on the way.
Also, I have begun submitting my completed novel to various agents for consideration and hope to get some feedback soon. I have been advised not to delete this blog but instead to find something that I’m passionate about and enjoy discussing. I have no idea what that will be yet, but stay tuned for a significant shake up here.
As far as The Whiteraven Net goes, it will also remain up for some time. I’m conflicted about whether or not to continue releasing poetry there because I would really like to receive compensation for all that hard work, but I will post some new content when I’m ready.
