Alura has made a new video where she gives an in-depth look at some of the hidden truths surrounding “spiritual death”, as well as near-death and afterlife experiences. She also talks a little bit about her own experiences throughout life, some of which were very traumatic. There are triggers in this video. Please don’t watch if you have a sensitivity to topics such as rape or abuse. Much love to you all – never let your light go out!

As I pound away at the keyboard, trying to finish the last two chapters of my first book, I often feel discouraged. I’m never satisfied with my work, whether it’s “day-to-day living” or “spiritual practice”. In truth, everything is spiritual, as Alura says. Recently, my self-esteem took a pretty big hit. The funny thing was, I didn’t even know it until Alura pointed it out to me. That was one of the reasons I felt so frustrated. The struggle to find a paying job isn’t helping either, but I’m not giving up. I have a couple new ideas to follow up on.
It’s amazing how blind we are to the reality of what holds us back. I’m convinced that the worst relationship many of us have is with ourselves. We like to think we know ourselves, but the truth is we don’t. If we did, we’d know for a fact that we’re precious, unique souls; and the Creator loves us no matter what.

I’ve already received my G.E.D., but now I’m giving myself some college-level studies. A very good friend gave me her old text books. My goal is to study for at least half an hour each day. Since my least favorite subject is math, that’s the one I’ve chosen to start with. My brain needs some new exercise, and this is just the way to get it. It really makes me feel I’m accomplishing something.
As far as the novel goes, chapter ten has begun! I’m very excited about this part because I’m re-writing the climax of the story. I only have two more chapters to go after this one, and then it’s off to the agent!
