New literary update.
It feels good to finally have my poetry book released in some form. However, the work doesn’t stop there. Now I face the challenges of promoting it.
As I already knew, “self-publishing” requires you to fund most of the work yourself. It gets disheartening and a bit stressful, but it’s what I have to do for now. At least I’ve accomplished one of my major life goals and can continue to build on it. It’s wonderful to be able to look back on the progress I’ve made, not just in writing but in life.
Now comes the constant effort needed to balance these new parts of my daily life. Plus, I’m renewing my efforts to get a part-time job to support my financial needs. For those readers who are also hoping to publish their work in some form, I highly advise that you get and maintain a day job. Don’t…

One of the topics I've been learning about recently has been the use of wool in the fabric industry. Generally, we as vegans tend to be very much against this practice and advocate for plant-based textiles made from hemp, organic cotton, recycled fibers, etc. as replacements for animal-derived fibers. However, I've discovered there are... Continue Reading →
Here's a link to Alura's latest post on A Life of Virtues regarding the best and worst social media alternatives this year. I have experienced quite a few of the same issues She has and can recommend Her advice. https://spirituallyawkward.com/2022/01/06/the-cleanest-worst-social-media-apps-for-2022/
Happy New Year to everyone joining my on this journey! I hope you took the time to reconnect with family in whatever way possible, and that you maintain the bonds of love and friendship not only this year but into the future, as well. I'm happy to announce that a new installment of the mini... Continue Reading →
The Christmas Star now, represents a great ritual that was planned for this specific moment in time. The Star is actually not a Star but the alignment of planets which give it the illusion that it’s a big bright star. However, it’s not just the alignment that is being referenced . Mainstream is also talking about the comet Leonard, referring to it the same. It too, is being called “The Christmas” Star.
It is a very rare comet that hasn’t been seen for 80,000 years. Its visible around Christmas this year of 2021 and it’s the last and final time that it’ll reach Earth. Leonard may be the.name of the person who discovered it, but much is covered up. Leonard is the name of a demon that is used in great black magic sabbaths. When is the greatest sabbath? Christmas time.
They say that this could be the star of…

A wonderful and very important post from Alura Cein. https://spirituallyawkward.com/2021/12/22/to-give-is-to-receive/
It comes tomorrow!
The official release of my first volume of poetry, The Ocean’s Made For Swimming, will be celebrated tomorrow – Dec. 21st, 2021 (Yule/winter solstice)! It will also be available to international readers. Further information will follow in the update I post tomorrow.
I’ve been in the process of connecting and updating information across all of my online platforms. Links to my new Amazon Author Page are being updated and can be found on my “about author” page here on T.W.N.They will also be posted to my personal blog, Superlative Deviation.
Merry Christmas, Happy Yule, and have a wonderful New Year!
I will cease to operate on My Poetic Side, as I no longer have time to manage that space. However, I do plan to stay on Medium for the foreseeable future. All other social media platforms remain in effect until further notice.
Now for the big announcement: my first poetry book will be available for purchase on Amazon starting Tuesday, December 21st! I will offer it in paperback format for $8.00 (USD). It does not contain any artwork at this time. The release just happens to coincide with the winter solstice, which was not originally my plan; but I’m glad it happened anyway! I think revealing a project full of positive light on the darkest, lowest point of the year is truly poetic.
I want to thank those of you who have remained with me throughout this phase of my journey. There’s still so much to come…
